1. Which payment options does SIXT offer?
At SIXT Car Rental for corporate customers, you can conveniently choose to pay on account or with the following credit cards:
- American Express
- Diner’s Club
- Mastercard
- Visa
Pre-paid cards and cards with no personal or company name embossing are not permitted. Cash payments are also not possible at Sixt Car Rental in New Zealand.
Please present your original credit card upon collecting you rental. The driver and payment details are fixed at the time of reservation and cannot be changed.
2. What is the ACRISS code?
SIXT’s rental car fleet includes a wide range from Standard and Premium vehicles to Commercial ones. For the sake of clarity and standardisation, these are divided into vehicle categories worldwide, according to the international standard ACRISS code (Association of Car Rental Industry Systems Standards). This includes various features, such as size, equipment, and engine. Since you book a car classification at Sixt, not a model, it is always ensured that your required equipment (air conditioning, automatic transmission, etc.) as well as features (seats, 5 doors, etc.) are taken into account when booking.
3. Where can I view, change or request a SIXT invoice?
You can view your SIXT rental car invoice in your customer account. There, you can also download a free copy. You don’t need to request the invoice for your SIXT rental car separately; you can simply print it out. Please note that invoice copies are available no earlier than two days after the vehicle is returned.
4. Where can I change, cancel, or rebook my SIXT reservation?
You can view and change your SIXT reservation in your customer account.
5. What happens in case of an infraction during the rental period?
The renter/subscriber is liable for all costs and fees incurred in connection with traffic offences according to the General Terms and Conditions. We transmit the driver’s data that were specified and accepted at the time of the rental to the requesting authority.
In addition, an administration fee of $35 will be charged. To avoid fines, please inform yourself in advance about the relevant traffic and parking regulations in the areas in which you are using your SIXT company rental car.
6. Is there a SIXT damage service?
You can add the optional SIXT mobility service during the reservation. This extended damage service protects you from the high costs of service and repair arising with one’s own fault, such as an empty fuel tank, a lost key, or a bogged down car on national and international territory. The perfect SIXT car rental additional insurance in case something happens to you underway.
7. Are there any special offers for delivery, collection, and return of rental cars?
After hours deliveries may be arranged but require a minimum of 24 hours notice. Additional fees may apply. For Business clients we can offer a pick-up and delivery service, within office hours. Restrictions apply.
8. Can I add an additional driver to my rental?
Additional drivers, who are at least 20 years old, may be added to the rental contract by showing their driving licenses. If the additional driver cannot be present during pick-up, you can go to any SIXT station across the country to have the registration done. When picking up the car, presenting the original driving license of the additional driver is enough. There will be no insurance coverage in the event of an accident until the additional driver has been included in the contract.
9. Can I use a Sixt company car rental one way?
One way rental are available between SIXT locations, however fees may apply. Check details at info@sixt.nz.

11. Does Sixt also offer corporate rates for vans and trucks?
SIXT is expanding its Commercial vehicle range and offers Corporate rates on vans, trucks and utilities at available locations.
12. What is 3DSecure 2.0 for online payments?
Compliant with the new EU directive PSD2, a two-phase authorisation is required for all payments. This means that you authorise your car rental booking and then confirm the payment through your bank again.
